Interactive Tarot Readings by Destiny Are Fun, But Have Flaws

Free online tarot readings are common online, and can provide a fun diversion or some much needed insight. Not all of these tarot websites are created equal however. Some offer more layouts and card deck options, while some give a more interactive experience.
Destiny Tarot takes a mixed approach – it offers few card options and a handful of layouts, but this tarot website's features are more interactive than some other tarot card sites.
Rider-Waite or Oswald Wirth Cards and 26 Layouts
The two decks offered by Destiny Tarot are the traditional Rider-Waite and the lesser known Oswald Wirth deck. As explained on LearnTarot.com, Oswald Wirth was a Swiss occultist who drew his first version of the 22 major arcana cards in 1889, basing them on popular decks of the time. Both decks are relatively simplistic and brightly colored, but full of symbols.
The variety of layouts is one benefit of using Destiny Tarot. There are dedicated love, money, family, yes/no spreads, as well as traditional layouts like the Celtic Cross. One notable feature on Destiny Tarot is the ability to use specific questions to focus a layout. Instead of relying on a basic love spread, the visitor can use questions like, "When can I expect a fight or argument with my significant other?" to get specific details from their reading.
Issues Plague the Tarot Card Site for Some Users
Despite a variety of layouts and an attempt to make the readings as interactive as possible, Destiny Tarot has a few problems. The first is a major one for some users: the regular layouts on the site are written in HTML, not Flash, and as a result, the tarot card layouts won't work properly on some browsers, including Firefox. Users experiencing this issue may not be able to see the cards they are supposed to choose from, or experience no response when clicking on them.
Destiny Tarot tries to remedy this problem by offering Flash readings as well, but when using the flash readings, only a few questions are available to focus the reading, and none of the normal layouts are available. The information given as the interpretation of the cards is also very short on the Flash readings – usually no more than two sentences, which provides a vague explanation of the meanings of three very different tarot cards.
Some visitors may find that Destiny Tarot suffers from some poor design choices. The HTML readings, when they can be accessed by visitors, are cluttered. The instructions are accessed by a "Click for Help" link, which then shows the text in the background of the page, often obscured by the card images.
Destiny Tarot Offers 26 Layouts, When They're Accessible
Although Destiny Tarot attempts to distinguish the site from the competition with unusual question-based readings and a high level of interactivity, some may dislike the cluttered design and some of the readings do not work on popular browsers. The card meanings are also short, and lack depth, which is not ideal for individuals who are unfamiliar with tarot card meanings, although they seem to be tailored to the focus on the reading.
